Dear Friend
Every year around July and August we take a missions team to Sri Lanka . This year we will be there during the second half of August. Team members are coming from NZ, Australia and India .
The objective is firstly to encourage and resource those who work with children. This year we will be holding 5 conferences and one children's camp for abused children.
Sri Lanka is in the final stages of a fierce and bloody civil war that has been going on for 20 years. In these final stages children have suffered greatly and our fear is that many thousands of children will be left deeply traumatised. We cannot publicly say too much about this but there are news reports that can be accessed. For this reason, we want to particularly help delegates to help these children as part of our conferences.
We cannot do this work unless we have financial support – hence this letter to you.
All up we are gong to need $19,891. Can you consider giving? You could make a huge difference in the life of many children and those who care for them.

Puttalam an area suffered by the civil war last 20 years and for children's ministry leaders, they never had a training program from a long time. So this is a great oppurtunity for us to train them and encourage them to reach the children. Most people are very poor in this area that they don't have proper income.

Badulla , an area in up country. This is the poorest part of Sri Lanka that many people working in tea plantations as labours.

Children's Camp for Abused Children. at Welimada |
This is by far our most expensive event. However, it is a very special camp. All the children who come have been notified as abuse victims. for one week we give them a very special time of fun, ministry, love and childhood memories.
